Does the litigation ever involve the tendency of urologists to deceive patients about the "smooth muscle that used to be called the internal urethral sphincter" (which closes for ejaculation to prevent semen from going into the bladder and instead going out through the urethra? They used to lie about it. Now (because of the zone system rather than lobes?), they pretty-much ignore it and pretend that there's no such thing (as the internal sphincter). [Some do acknowledge that many kinds of prostate surgery cause retrograde ejaculation (it all goes into the bladder and nothing comes out); but don't address the fact that it's not necessary to destroy the muscle tissue (especially for BPH rather than prostate cancer). Supposedly, SOME urologists now try surgery that doesn't destroy the muscle tissue (and sometimes that nerves associated with erectile issues). I have no idea what percentage of urologists do that. [Every elderly man who has had prostate surgery that I've asked is angry about such issues.] I wonder what it's like in countries that don't have a bunch of for-profit companies promoting different prostate surgery methods.
